It is very interesting to note that this Indonesian version is very similar to the original back home. They have the same portions like All for Juan, Juan for All which they call Semua Untuk Satu, Satu untuk Semua, and Pinoy Henyo or Indonesia Pintar. It just made me proud that a Filipino brand has caught the attention of our neighbour, Indonesia. Usually, they get franchises from the US or Great Britain but this time, it's from the Philippines.
I heard that the ratings of the 1-week old show is also good. One of the reasons, according to Interaksyon.com, why it is doing well in the ratings game is because one of the hosts is Filipino. The guy's name is Leo Consul who hails from Pangasinan. He used to be a teacher and a recording artist here in Indonesia. But another reason is perhaps the different portions of Eat Bulaga are new to the Indonesian audience.
Unlike Eat Bulaga back home, EB Indonesia is not a noontime show. SCTV, the station that broadcasts it opted to put it at the 4PM time slot and lasts for an hour and a half. I can't wait to see their Little Miss Indonesia.
Good luck Eat Bulaga Indonesia! SEMANGAT!
